The Hangover – UK Preview

The Hangover. We just got back from seeing The Hangover. It was a FREE preview of The Hangover, care of See Film First.
The Hangover is a movie about four guys who go to Vegas on a stag night. They wake up the next morning with Mike Tyson’s tiger in their hotel bathroom……. and the groom-to-be is missing! 
(Yes, Mike Tyson does appear in the movie).
The movie is a classic “flashback” movie. But The Hangover delivers with a plausible plot as the drunken, (and drugged!), escapades of the night before start to unfold as the three amigos began to track down their lost buddy.
“The Hangover” is a very funny movie. The characters are introduced and developed quite early in the story. Having said that, there isn’t really much to develop, as they are all pretty stereotypical for the story at hand.
The gags in The Hangover are good – both verbal and physical. There are a couple of long running gags which occur throughout the movie relating to the dentist/doctor and his girlfriend having screwed a sailor/waiter/bartender on a cruise ship. And if you’re a fan of physical slapstick comedy – “The Hangover” delivers big time with that! The guys are beaten, punched, mauled, bitten by themselves, Mike Tyson, other criminals etc!
The best part about the movie is the end – quite literally right at the end – so don’t go leaving The Hangover early – let the titles roll.
Would The Hangover have been worth paying money to go and see if I hadn’t got into the UK preview with my friends at See Film First? Hell yes! The Hangover is geared towards an adult audience with a juvenile sense of humour – so that’ll be you then!
