Tescos tell the truth. Always. Here is a fine example of an ongoing problem with beetroot in Tescos:

And, as you can see, the little shelf edge marker tells the whole story. Okay, I think kids, dwarves, elves and the little people of the Glen would probably have got the message before anyone else - as the sign was about shin height! However, the sign was there, and it told you exactly what the story was.

Indeed, so good are Tescos at spelin - that they decided to move up in the world from shelf edge signs to massive A-board announcements outside the store:

I’ll leave you to chek where the spelling error is on that one.

But the most interesting and amusing sign I’ve seen in Tescos, is one I spotted this morning in the fresh produce section. This either proves that there is a mushroom with this unbelievable name - and people do buy it (!), or Tescos really don’t give a s**t what they print on their shelf edge labels:
