Pizza Hut – Kids Eat Free – Honest!

Pizza Hut has been running an excellent offer this summer that allows kids under 12 to eat for free! I know this because I met up with a friend of mine and her two little munchkins for a delightful days FREE entertainment in London – which started off at the Pizza Hut on Whitechapel Road and was a very pleasurable experience. Remember – Kids Eat Free at Pizza Hut!

Kids Eat Free At Pizza Hut

According to the blurb on the Pizza Hut menus – for every adult main course or adult lunchtime buffet purchased, an accompanying child can choose from either a FREE 2 course kids meal (includes a drink) or a FREE kids lunchtime buffet (includes pizza, pasta and salad). So, we naturally took full advantage of this offer!

Once we had filled ourselves up to capacity at Pizza Hut – we nipped down the road and over Tower Bridge for great early evenings FREE entertainment – for me and the kids!

The Scoop at More London is an outdoor sunken amphitheatre with seating for 800. Throughout the summer months it regularly hosts a variety of free events – including FREE theatre for kids! (It’s about a ten minute walk from Tower Hill, and a five minute amble from London Bridge station). We went to see the Steam Industry Free Theatre’s production of “Toad Hall!” – An adaption of the famous Kenneth Grahame children’s novel “The Wind in the Willows”.

The show was brilliant! Their adaption meant the show was just over an hour long – which was great for the kids, as they started to get hungry and wanted more pizza! HA! It was an excellent value for money evening – as it was FREE! But, unlike a lot of free events which fall short of the mark, “Toad Hall” kept us all entertained, (including me and my friend!). They’d rewritten words to great sing-along-songs like ‘Is this the way to Amarillo?’, ‘Fight for this love’, ‘Poker face’ and ‘Don’t stop me now’ as well as hugely energetic dance routines. It was fun. And FREE!

I’d actually taken a “doggy bag” from Pizza Hut and kept it in my rucksack – and surprised the kids at the end of the show. And we munched away in the emptying amphitheatre. I have to say the Pizza Hut Kids Eat Free deal was amazing! Apparently over 900,000 kids have taken up this offer this summer alone. Or, more appropriately – several thousand parents have seen the opportunity of getting some free pizza to keep everyone happy! Pizza Hut has also decided to extend the deal until the 9th January 2011! And in case you haven’t worked that one out yet – that means well deserving hard working parents can take their beloved little darlings for FREE pizza over the Christmas and New Year period when they are out of school! I know my friend will be taking her kids out to dine on this offer several times over that period!

So, if you ever get an opportunity to go to the Scoop Theatre for some FREE children’s theatre during the summer holidays – I’d definitely recommend it. As we all know it’s always a struggle to ensure kids are entertained during the summer – so a good sing-along and a bit of “behind you!” and booing the baddies is a great laugh – and you’ll enjoy it as well! I did!

Incidentally, on the subject of keeping children entertained etc, I also noticed something whilst in Pizza Hut about some great deals on a wide range of family activities and adventures including holidays, theme parks, zoos etc. On the bottom of any Pizza Hut Restaurant receipt you will find an offer code. And you take that code and go to their website: http://www.pizzahut.co.uk/familyadventures/ where you enter the code. There’s a whole range of attractions etc all the country! Take a look!

Okay – time for me to get something to eat….. now where is that Pizza Hut menu? ;O)
