Chelsea Football Club

Chelsea Football Club, Stamford Bridge, Chelsea, London. I was there. It seemed like only yesterday… in fact, it was only yesterday!

Yes sir - I was The Daddy Of The Bridge

It was a blistering hot day at Chelsea Football Club yesterday. Most of the day at Stamford Bridge was spent in an air conditioned directors box overlooking a rather thinly turfed pitch. I guess the Stamford Bridge grass had been taken away for surgery or something?!…

But Chelsea Football club is quite a spectacular looking ground. It had it’s own megastore as well, guarded by a gi-normous JT!

Of course, I wouldn’t want you to miss out on any great cheap prices on Chelsea Football Club memorabilia, so I found this place to get some great buys on all things to do with Chelsea Football Club!

Interesting fact about Chelsea Football Club - the ground was a lot bigger than it is today:

The picture above shows a plaque on the back wall of the old Shed Wall - the back wall of the old standing terraces at Chelsea. There’s now about 60 feet of pedestrianised walking area before you reach the megastore/stadium - and then about another 100 or so feet before you actually reach the edge of Chelsea’s football pitch, where I made the video.

Chelsea Football Club is well worth a visit.

You’ll be able to get yourself onto a regular tour around the club. Of course, you won’t be getting pitch side quality time like I did

But get yourself along to Chelsea Football Club and enjoy the day out.

Best Western Chine Hotel Boscombe

Best Western Chine Hotel Boscombe. The view is spectacular from the hotel room of the Best Western Chine Hotel in Boscombe, Dorset, (no, it’s not a silent movie - just very quiet):

Well, for those that missed the view in the video, here’s a little piccie of the view from the hotel room of the Best Western Chine Hotel in Boscombe:

And although I didn’t bring my swimming costume with me, (like I would anyway! ), the swimming pool did look quite inviting, although not for diving into from my bedroom window……!

Many-a-great name in show business has stayed at the Best Western Chine Hotel while walking the boards at one or other of Bournemouth’s many theatres.

The walls of the lower levels of the hotel are plastered with old time photographs of the famous variety artistes who have stayed at the Best Western Chine Hotel, Boscombe. One of those acts was Wilson, Keppel and Betty:

And did you know that there were about 8 - 12 “Bettys” over the years, and one daughter even followed in her mother’s footsteps to be a “Betty” ?

But back to the hotel! The food at the Best Western Chine Hotel, Boscombe is superb. Here is one of their scrumptious desserts I had whilst staying there:

All in all I can safely say that the Best Western Chine Hotel is an excellent hotel to stay at if you are on holiday, business etc in the Bournemouth area. It’s even got a very nice beach you can walk around on and talk to yourself on camera! :
